Since the end of the Korean War, the United States has spent billions of dollars positioning forces in and around South Korea to defend the country from another attack from the North.
Our government and various member states of the United Nations have spent decades negotiating and making and re-making deals with the North Koreans, trying every carrot and stick negotiating tool possible to bring the reclusive hermit kingdom into the folds of modern civilization. Time and time again, our best and brightest diplomats have failed.
Meanwhile, North Korea has developed nuclear weapons and tests them, coupled with the threats of violence against the Unites States. Last week, we were no closer to lowering the specter of war on the Korean Peninsula than we were the day the bullets stop flying in the 1950s.
But the game just changed.
We just sent a secret weapon into North Korea, a weapon unlike anything they have ever seen. This weapon does not have the ability to cause mass casualties, but instead, it has the ability to cause mass chaos. The North Koreans think they can deal with anything, but they have never come across a weapon like this. Frankly, I would not be surprised to see North Korea offering President Obama an unconditional surrender soon, maybe first thing Monday morning.
This new secret weapon’s official designation?
